1 Lakh Units of Vento Exported by Volkswagen India



The company having reached a milestone in less than 2 years Volkswagen India has exported 1,00,000th unit of Vento to Mexico. The made-in-India Vento replaced the locally built Jetta Classico in the Mexican market. The sedan is one of the popular cars, featuring in the top three models sold there in the first half of 2015. It is also the highest selling model for Volkswagen Mexico, followed by the Polo hatchback, which is also exported from the Indian facility. Mexico is the largest export market for VW India, almost every second car made at the Chakan facility is dispatched there. He further added, “A Volkswagen built anywhere in the world meets the same quality standards. This is evident by the way the Volkswagen Vento and Polo have been accepted worldwide. With the success of our highest quality cars in a key market like Mexico, we can further increase our scope of export to other countries in the near future.”
