TOP 10 CAR BRANDS SALES FIGURE: JANUARY 2025
HIGHLIGHTS
As always, Maruti maintained his first position in this month also. The Hyundai retained his previous position in Indian car market, Kia reported extremely highest growth in MoM figures. A great boost by KIA but remained in the 6th position on the list. The MG recorded a decline of slightly over 40% in MoM sales. Let’s take a closure look of this month sales report.

KEY POINTS
Maruti continued to lead the Indian market in January 25, with over 1.74 lakh dispatches, although an impressive number, while its monthly sales grew by a little over 33 percent. The automaker shipped nearly 69,000 more cars than Hyundai and Mahindra combined it was one the few brands to have positive year-on-year (YoY) growth. Click here.
Hyundai surpasses Tata and regained his position in Indian market from third to second with over 54,000 units dispatched, Hyundai monthly sales registering a significant growth on MoM sales of 27.9 but, facing a decline of 5.4 percent in YoY sales. Click here.
Mahindra, with more than 50,000 units sold, the company recorded a positive monthly and yearly growth of 23.3 & 17.6 percent in January sales. Click here.
TATA was ranked as 4th best-selling carmaker, with over 48,000 units dispatched in January, shows growth of 8.7 percent compared to the sales of the previous month. The company witnessed YOY decline of 10 percent. Click here.
Toyota’s sales increased by 5.2 percent month-on-month, with over 26,100 units dispatched in January 2025. The brand also saw a 12.9 percent year-on-year growth. Click here.
The Korean automaker KIA, recorded sales of over 25,000 units in January 2025. The brand achieved highest growth of all time nearly 180 percent in MoM and 5.3 percent YoY in sales figure. Click here.
Honda managed to dispatch over 6,103 units of its cars in January 2025. Brand saw decline in both MoM and YoY of 10 percent and 30 percent. Click here.
MG saw a marking 16 percent YoY growth, reaching a little over 4,455 units January. Its MoM figures faces a decline over 40 percent. Click here.
Skoda also posted strong growth in YoY sales in January. Dispatched over 4,133 vehicles and Skoda recorded close to 70 percent YOY growth and faces marginal decline of 9 percent in MoM Sales.
VOLKSWAGEN attracted nearly 3,344 buyers in January 2025, registering a 30 percent unpredictable decline in monthly basis and 2.4 percent growth in yearly sales.
